Beef Organs capsules contain freeze-dried, finely ground beef organs. Our beef organ supplement combines three organs from EU organic pasture farming in Estonia: liver as the largest share, plus kidney and heart. Eight capsules make up a daily serving of 3,200 mg organ powder, and one tub of 240 capsules lasts 30 days. Apart from the organs and the beef gelatine capsule shell, the product contains nothing else.
Which beef organs are inside?
Beef liver (50%): Liver is the best-known and most nutrient-rich organ meat. It provides most of the natural vitamin A, present here as retinol, as well as plenty of vitamin B12 and copper.
Beef kidney (30%): In classic British cooking, kidney is best known from steak and kidney pie. Today it is rarely eaten and butchers often only have it to order.
Beef heart (20%): The heart is a muscle organ and in bite and flavour is closer to lean beef than to other offal. In many countries it is still pan-fried or grilled on skewers.
Natural vitamin B12, vitamin A, riboflavin and copper
Organ meats are among the most natural sources of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, to normal functioning of the nervous system, to normal red blood cell formation and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
The vitamin A in our capsules comes from beef liver and is present as retinol, not as beta-carotene. Vitamin A contributes to the normal function of the immune system, to the maintenance of normal skin and to the maintenance of normal vision.
Riboflavin, also known as vitamin B2, contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Copper contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the maintenance of normal connective tissues.
Nose to tail: why organ meats used to be a given
Traditional diets almost always used the whole animal. Muscle meat was only one part of it; the organs came to the table too and were often eaten first. Only with the abundance of muscle meat did offal largely disappear from European kitchens. Our capsules take up the nose-to-tail principle and bring three of these organs back into your diet without you having to source or cook them yourself.
Why freeze-dried beef organ capsules?
Freeze-drying removes the water from the organs at very low temperatures without heating them. Heat-sensitive components are largely preserved. What remains is a concentrated organ powder that keeps well, is neutral in taste and can be dosed precisely.
Grass-fed beef organs from organic pasture farming
Liver, kidney and heart come from grass-fed cattle raised on organic pastures in Estonia. Each capsule contains only the freeze-dried organs, without fillers, anti-caking agents or colourings. We also have the product tested in the laboratory for nutrients and purity (see “Lab analyses & certificates”).
Who are beef organ capsules for?
Beef organ capsules are for anyone who wants to include organ meats in their diet in the spirit of nose to tail but doesn’t want to cook them or doesn’t like the taste. They suit everyone who prefers nutrient-dense foods to synthetic single supplements. As the capsule shell is made of beef gelatine, the product is not vegetarian.
