About

Acacia honey from Germany, straight from the beekeeper

Discover the exquisite quality of our German acacia honey, a rare honey speciality from German black locust forests, and enjoy the pure, natural sweetness that connoisseurs love.

Raw acacia honey – mild, runny and rare

Connoisseurs know exactly what they are looking for when they buy acacia honey – and this jar lives up to those expectations. It is perfect for sweetening desserts and drinks such as tea, has a distinctive character of its own, and its colour ranges from rich gold to a fresh golden yellow.

The black locust blossom is very sensitive to rain: a single shower into the open flowers ends the honey harvest. That is why genuine German acacia honey is not available every year – and this rarity is what makes it so special.

The bees collect the nectar from the robinia blossoms. The result is a honey of remarkable purity and mildness.

Our German acacia honey – also known as black locust honey – is produced in Germany, at regional, natural sites run by our partner beekeepers.

Storage, Tips, and Shelf Life

Storage:
Store at room temperature for best freshness.

Tips:
If you buy German acacia honey and don’t need it straight away, keep it in the freezer (not the fridge) to keep it liquid. The cold slows molecular movement so much that no sugar crystals can form. For example, a runny honey that would normally crystallise after three weeks will still be liquid if you take it out of the freezer a year later. Its constituents and quality are fully preserved.

To make crystallised honey runny again, we recommend placing the jar in a water bath at around 40 °C. After a few minutes, your honey will be back to its original consistency.

Shelf life:
Approx. 2 years
